This vintage rug was handwoven by the artisans of Talsint.
Talsint is a remote village located at the foothills of the Sahara nestled in the Figuig province of Morocco.
Sometimes referred to as Aït Bou Ichaouen rugs, these vintage rugs are extremely rare as they are no longer locally produced. Typically the rugs were woven with their vivid hues and distinctive patterns inspired by the region's local environment.
This timeless piece represents generations of tradition and symbolism. With simple geometric diamond shapes against bold colors these pieces radiate beauty.
You will find some light fraying on either end due the rug’s lifespan, but with proper care, this rug will endure for decades to come.
